BLog #2
For my Hispanic that effect history I chose Cesar Chavez. In 1968 Chavez began a fast to support the migrant workers' cause for higher wages. It increased public awareness of the problem. The Teamsters attempted to take power from the UFW. An agreement was finally reached in 1977. During the 1980s Chavez led a boycott to protest the use of toxic pesticides on grapes. He fasted to draw public attention. These strikes and boycotts usually ended with the signing of bargaining agreements. I think he effected the way peoples attitudes are towards the right to protest.

Voto Latino is a great way to get the Latino heritage involved in politics. In the 2010 election Latinos became a big part of the results of who won. I think many of the Latino people need to start voting cause when they come to the country and become citizens it is they have the rights of any other American citizen. When an immigrant comes to America many come looking for a better life then they have had, and in some places they dint get a say in the government or how its run so when they come here its important they vote cause they can have there voices heard.

My goals for Spanish 2 are to make at least a B or an A. I learned a lot in Spanish I but I forgot a lot of it. The way i learned things in Spanish I were the activities we did as class. The Magic Squares teach me a lot of new vocab.
